Munchkins are a rare dwarf breed recognized by The International Cat Association. The dwarf gene gives them short legs. They are not a miniture cat but they are a small cat with lots of personality. They can have long or short hair although what we call long hair for a Munchkin is actually a medium length and not like that of a Persian.
Napoleons are a cross between a Munchkin and a Persian/Himi.... with these cute little fur balls, you get the best of both... Personality Plus
With both the Munchkin and the Napoleon, not all the kittens will get the dwarf gene...
When they have the dwarf gene, they are called a Standard and when they don't have the gene, then they are called Non Standards and have the same long legs as other cats but still have all the great traits of the Napoleon Breed...

As you can see, these little angels are just too cute for words. Their short legs give them an adorable waddle. They may be short but that doesn't stop them scurrying around the house and jumping on chairs etc. They also come in just about any color that you have ever seen in a cat. |
